Friends, hello. I’m back with my very first book tag!!!!
How exciting.
Since I’ve just started my blog I hardly have any fellow bloggers to tag, but all y’all lovely people can do this. Just tell the world I tagged you.
Also, thank you Aditi from Readers Rule for tagging me in this book tag. You’re awesome
The rules of the tag:
• Mention the creator of the tag (Ayunda @ Tea and Paperbacks)
• Thank the blogger who tagged you.
• Choose one of the options, you don’t have to tell the reasons why you chose that but you can also do them if you want to.
• Tag other people to do this tag to spread the love!
Here we go.
- Reading on the couch or on the bed?
Definitely bed. We have a cane sofa with a heavy mattress on it which is too small to comfortably change positions. Always bed.
- Male main character or female main character?
Female for some reason. I think the first book with a male character I ever read was Divergent, and that kind of ruined it for me because I couldn’t differentiate between Tobias and Tris. Technically I read Percy Jackson first but that wasn’t the start of my addictive reading. Divergent was and well.
- Sweet snacks or salty snacks?
Salty.
- Trilogies or quartets?
Trilogies. Why you ask? Because the shorter the better. I’ve noticed that authors tend to write better in limited space and even the vocabulary is nicer than usual probably because they have to fit in masses of ideas into three books. I prefer standalones the most.
- First person POV or third POV?
Both. Doesn’t matter to me.
- Reading at night or in the morning?
I usually read at night when my family’s asleep so there’s no one to bother me. And the complete silence is great for dissecting a book. If a book is extremely good though, then I do make the usual exception.
- Libraries or bookstores?
Libraries. When I was younger, my mom used to buy me individual books from vendors and when asked for the second part, she’d accidentally bring another new book. So libraries were a sort of saviour. I still prefer libraries even though I buy my own books because what’s a better recommendation than a room full of books?
- Books that make you laugh or books that make you cry?
Books that make me laugh. I tear up at every book and movie but even though I have the capability of finding humour even when it’s not to be found, very few books have ever made me laugh out loud. I still haven’t found a super funny book that is not borderline ridiculous so if you have any favourites I’d love to hear them.
- Black book covers or white covers?
Black because it’s the colour of my soul.
- Character driven or plot driven?
I think both are very important. If you have a good plot and a whiny character, no one’s going to enjoy it and if you have a boring plot with fantastic characters then there will be fanart yes but that’s about it.
So that’s about it. This was fun. Again, everyone who reads this can do the tag themself if they want to.
Sincerely,
Me.
Amazing answers! I do agree that about Divergent, I too used to confuse between the two POVs and then I had to go back the pages to see. And yea, the silence that you get at night for reading a book is irreplaceable. Also, I agree that authors write better in limited space. I have examples of so many books which were ruined just because the story was extended too far. Thank you for doing the tag! ❤

Cool tag! I’ll have to save this idea for my blog and my bookstagram. And I feel like a lot of these could have been both too! Like yeah black is the color of my soul…but white books are so pretty! lol!

White covers get dirty so fast and I have to be so careful with them, but they are rather pretty. And I’ll be waiting for your post!
